Having a blog would still be wise if you decide to skip the website.

To teach yoga meditation, it’s important to know exactly what it is and why it is so beneficial to yoga practice. Of course, some teach meditation or asana, but the two complement one another in a way that once you’ve combined them, you may wonder why you never did before. Meditation is the reflection and consideration of your life and all it encompasses. Many will mediate on something particular, such as an object or a function like breathing. It is said to lead to the divine connection of every living thing in the universe. During meditation, the mind becomes balanced, quiet, and relaxed as the whole body and mind rejuvenate in this state. Many feel it is the way to reach a state of pure consciousness.
Ways to Practice
One will normally sit or lie down and focus on a visual or object in their mind with their eyes opened or closed. Common items are objects or a candle. With eyes closed, it could be a person or state of being or even a serene setting. Use visualization to see what has meaning to you, specifically. You will observe your steady breaths and body sensations. In addition to sitting and lying poses, many prefer to walk or stand in meditation. Walking is a free movement but is done with slow and deliberate steps.
There is no destination in mind, and it should be done in a meaningful setting. Standing should be done with feet shoulder-width apart, and all joints softened. Open the chest for steady breathing; if the eyes are left open, they should be relaxed. The main consideration of body position is to listen to your inner being as to what is best for you. Paul often advises that the spine should be straight for meditation. You may also try out different asanas to see what suits you best.
Depending on the yoga teacher, you might begin with a mantra or Japa. It is great if you can experience both because some prefer one method over the other. A mantra is like the recitation of a sacred set of syllables, and Japa tends to be longer and focuses on the pitch. However, some people strongly object to mantra meditation. Therefore, you should consult with the yoga school to understand the guidelines. Not every school is a good fit for every teacher or student.

Since ancient times meditation has proved to benefit us in many ways. In all forms of yoga training, mental and physical improvements occur in those who practice regularly. We become more aware and alert and have a better overall lifestyle as we connect fully with the world around us.
