Learn How to Setup and Structure a Class

If you’re considering yoga nidra teacher training, there are a few things you need to know about how to set up and structure your class. Here’s a quick guide:

First, creating a safe and comfortable space for your students is important. This means making sure the room is well-ventilated and at a comfortable temperature. It’s also essential to have plenty of props available, such as blankets, bolsters, and eye pillows.

Once your students are settled in, it’s time to begin the practice. Start by leading them through basic relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing or progressive muscle relaxation. Then, move into the main body of the practice, which includes a guided meditation.

In the final stage of the practice, allow your students to rest in silence. This is an integral part of the practice, as it allows students to process what they’ve just experienced.

After the class, take some time to debrief with your students. Ask them how they felt during the practice and if they found anything challenging or helpful. Finally, let them know that you’re always available if they have any questions or concerns.

It’s normal for your mind to wander during yoga nidra – just let the thoughts come and go without attaching to them.

Finally, DO enjoy the experience! Yoga nidra is a beautiful way to relax and connect with yourself. So savor the moment and see how you feel afterward.

    Michelle Torrez

Fantastic course with a lot of built-in flexibility. I knew very little about Yoga Nidra, meditation, or relaxation before taking this course. In fact, all I taught was Power Yoga without any of the relaxation techniques. We learned physical techniques at a Camp in San Diego. This course opened an entirely useful set of tools for my students. Now, we all have skills to help us out. Thank You Ava, Jackie, Dr. Paul, Colin and the staff at Aura Wellness Center!!!
