This training was absolutely amazing. We worked in a smaller group, were taken to senior and corporate centers to get hands-on experience. From what my friends have said you never get this kind of experience with other yoga teacher certifications. I’m just a couple of weeks graduated and I already have 2 jobs. I was thinking about joining the Yoga Alliance, but it doesn’t seem like I need them.

This was a great training, we got to do a lot of hands-on stuff, but, I feel like I only needed to do the online training. A month is a long time to be away from home, when I could have just taken their Original Platinum Yoga teacher training in a box and been certified to teach from home. It is the exact same curriculum.

I’ve taken a lot of the online courses, everything except Hatha! It was great to work with Dr. Paul Jerard face-to-face. The best part was really working in a smaller group and the hands on experience at the centers.

I enjoyed being able to go to the senior centers for hands on experience, with Dr. Paul

I enjoyed being able to go to the senior centers for hands on experience, with Dr. Paul, and the smaller group he prefers to work with. Way more time getting to work on the concepts I didn’t understand than I thought I would.

I enjoyed the conversations we had as a group

I enjoyed the conversations we had as a group, learning a lot, and discussing the topics and real life experiences. Also, the trip the class took, on the train after we completed class one evening to Top of The Hub. Boston has such nice views. The teacher training was amazing, but I really enjoyed visiting Boston and Providence.

    More real life experience!

    Justine Clay

Sorry for taking so long to write a review. I’m not good with these so I will just say that I got everything I needed out of this training. It was my 3rd as I have also been certified in Power Yoga, and Hot Yoga, but it was unique. We had a smaller group. Dr. Paul likes to work with smaller classes because he feels the students get more out of it, and a little more one-on-one time. We had the opportunity to explore the places he teaches at, and actually got more real life experiences than I have seen at any other Yoga Teacher Training.

Great training, but Online Training would have been fine for me

    Samantha (Daisy) Stone

I enjoyed the training, but, my friend who took the online course received the same materials, manual, and curriculum I did. The training even utilizes the online student portal in class, Dr. Paul guided us through all of it, there were live demonstrations, student partner groups, videos we watched in class too, and we discussed topics in depth, but, I could have probably taken this from home and saved.

Don’t get me wrong, the class was great….it’s just I took this onsite to get registered with Yoga Alliance and now I am finding out my employers don’t even care about the registration. One even said that they don’t go by that because of how many bad registered instructors they have hired in the past. And they didn’t feel like it meant quality to be registered. They now rely on a “demonstration class” – part of the interview – to show them if a teacher is good or not. I did get the teaching position there though…..so, there is that.

I don’t get why if the training has the same manual, curriculum, and everything, the big difference is you have other students, the lead instructor, and have to be there for a month, that Yoga Alliance doesn’t register online. I mean, they are an online registry, aren’t they. I did the majority of my degree online, same curriculum as I would have gotten in class at the university. Why is Yoga Alliance so stuck in the past?

My class and Dr. Paul were great, I just feel that I could have done the same with the online yoga training, and it is frustrating to see my friend getting the same opportunities I do and she paid 1/7 the price.
